Why are your home plans free (for a limited time) when other websites charge so much?
Our home plans are made available because of the many different companies who sponsor our “Free Home Plan” promotion. If it wasn’t for them our home plans would typically cost $100 each.
What do I get for $100 or free with a promo code?
You get a complete set of home plans in pdf format. Plans may include, but are not limited to, elevation plans, foundations, floor plans, plumbing, electrical and HVAC plans and other details.
What if my promo code doesn’t work?
If your promo code doesn’t work please email us immediately to confirm if your promo code is current and valid. Most promo codes are only good for a limited time.
Can I build the home more than once?
NO. If you would like a license to build the home multiple times you must contact the designer.
How do I make my own copies of the plans?
You can email a digital copy to your local print shop or save the plan on a cd, flash drive or other media of your preference and take it there yourself. This will save you money on shipping and give you the ability to make only the copies of the plans that you need.
How many copies can I make?
As many as you need to build your home. Just remember, these plans are for the purchaser only. If your friends want to build a home tell them to register and get their own plans. No one likes a copyright breaker.
What if I have a problem downloading my plans?
When you register your promo code, you have a 72 hour window to download your plan to a computer or storage media. At the top left corner of the website is where you can log into your account. If you have any problem with this, shoot us an email.
What if I can’t find a home that I like?
We’re continually updating our database of home plans, so check back often. If you find a plan that is close to what you want, you can have it customized by the original designer. Read on below.
Can you modify a home plan that I like?
Yes. First you must register and download the plan, and then you must contact the original designer who can make modifications for you. This is the easiest and most affordable option to getting custom home plans. You cannot make changes to the plans yourself. They must be done by the original designer. It is their name on the plans.
What does a set of home plans contain?
A set of plans contain the basic information for building the home that you purchased. Plans may include, but are not limited to, elevation plans, foundation plans, floor plans, plumbing, electrical, HVAC plans and other details as seen necessary by the designer/architect.
Do your home plans meet all building codes?
We do not guarantee that our home plans will meet all of your local building codes. All of our home plans on our website have been designed to meet one of the following building codes: CABO, BOCA, ICBO, SBCCI or the new International Building Code (IBC)
Can I return or exchange home plans?
No.
How long do I have to download my home plan?
When you register your valid promo code and choose a set of plans we give you three (3) days to download them.
